Job Description

The Leadership Institute seeks a Donor Communications Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing Development team. This is an amazing entry-level position for someone interested in rapidly acquiring nonprofit fundraising skills. Primary responsibilities are to read the mail sent by the Leadership Institute’s 40,000 donors, record their donations, update donor records, maintain database hygiene, and oversee the process of quickly thanking donors for their donations.

Opportunities to draft emails to donors and articles for our donor newsletter are available for those with creative skills.

Ideal candidates will be hard working, curious, and ready to learn. The best applicants will have professional experience, preferably in development, be familiar with Raiser's Edge, and possess an appreciation for our mission. Candidates must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be capable of meeting hard deadlines.
