The Leadership Institute seeks a Development Operations Officer to join our fast-paced and growing Development team. This is an amazing entry-level position for someone interested in rapidly acquiring non-profit fundraising skills. Primary responsibilities are to process mail and donations, read and record the mail sent by the Leadership Institute’s 45,000 donors, update donor records, maintain database hygiene, and assist in the process of quickly thanking donors for their donations. More projects and opportunities will come up as your skills develop.
Opportunities to draft emails to donors and articles for our donor newsletter are available for those with creative skills. Similarly, opportunities to build relationships with donors and cultivate giving increases are available for those with high levels of interpersonal communication skills.
Ideal candidates will be hard working, curious, and ready to learn. The best applicants will have professional experience, preferably in development, be familiar with Salesforce, and possess an appreciation for our mission. Candidates must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, be capable of meeting hard deadlines, and have flexibility in schedule.
