Overview: The incumbent will have the responsibility for planning, coordinating and conducting analytical studies and/or projects relating to public policy and its impact on NCS. Incumbent will evaluate NCS’s administrative and operational programs to assist senior executives in improving overall organizational effectiveness consistent with broad management.
Detailed Description:
Review, research and evaluate federal policy to support and guide the NCS’s mission and objective. Perform legislative analysis, draft legislative proposals and congressional testimony, and provide comments on proposed legislation. Draft white papers, fact sheets, letters, legislative summaries, and other written materials. Oversee or conduct analyses of policies, programs, services and legislation. Work with stakeholders and experts to develop ways assess their special policies and procedures with respect to their impact on the agency’s mission. Provide policy analysis support for strategic planning, strategic guidance development and business management techniques. Research and analyze government policies, legislation, rules, and regulations. Track and respond to pending congressional legislation, including appropriate sector. Prepare informational and issue papers on current legislation, the potential impact of proposed or pending policies, and rules and regulations pertaining to cyber security matters. Assist with private and public sector voluntary consensus standard development efforts. Provide subject matter expertise to membership and organizations on implementation and compliance with regulatory, policy, standards, or requirements.
