| Responsible for editing all Roll Call Group content for grammar, spelling and style; posting newspaper content to the Web site; assisting in other editorial operations; and some occasional reporting. This editor will be on duty from approximately 4 pm until midnight Monday through Thursday, and during the day on Sundays, and will work closely with the night copy editor/web producer.
Accoutnable for: Error-free Web site. Proper placement of stories and other editorial content on Web site. Assisting the night web editor in monitoring competitors and other information outlets. Assisting in other aspects of editing and production, including for print products, from time to time as directed by supervisors.
Decision rights: Decides correct usage of grammar and style. Influences word choice and story structure. Recommends stories and story angles.
Performance measures: Minimal style, spelling or grammar errors. Promptly posting stories and sending email alters to stay ahead of the competition. Fast, smart decision-making regarding placement of editorial content on the Web.
